The game was scheduled at Toyota Center, Houston, where the home side Houston Rockets, faced the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers were coming from a five-game unbeaten run, and this game just added one more for them. Lakers beat Rockets 100-92 with an eight-point difference.
Luka Magic Lights Up
The game was pretty thrilling, where at times it felt like a close encounter. The first quarter ended with just a one-point difference, while the second quarter proved a success for the Rockets. The deficit was six points between them, but the third quarter proved to be the game-changer for the Lakers. Luka was the difference once again with 36 points and 4 assists. A vital contribution of 40 points for the away side. While the King LeBron shone, scoring 18 points and adding five assists, a 23-point contribution.
Houston momentum flaws
At the start, the home side was pretty great. After two quarters, they had a 6-point lead. But the fall in the last two quarters was costly for them—especially the massive drop in the third quarter, which they lost by 9 points. The difference reduced the advantage for Houston. Jabari Smith Jr. and Amen Thompson were decent, scoring 22 and 19 points. Amen contributed most in the game with 5 assists, but it did not work as a whole.
In the end, the game was kind of entertaining, but it ended with disappointment for the home side. Houston is still looking for the right flow for their upcoming fixtures. On the other hand, the Lakers are just getting better with every game. Now they are already on a six-game unbeaten streak. That hypes things for the upcoming fixtures, as both will face off again on March 19 at the same venue. Maybe the result will be different then.
