On Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, the United States defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime in the gold medal game to win the 26th gold medal in Olympic men’s ice hockey history. It was the third gold medal for the United States in Olympic men’s ice hockey. Canada took the silver medal with the loss, claiming their fifth silver medal in Olympic men’s ice hockey. Finland defeated Slovakia 6-1 in the bronze medal game, claiming their fifth bronze medal in Olympic men’s ice hockey.
The tournament was held in Italy, with Milan as the host city. Macklin Celebrini of Canada scored the most goals scored during the tournament with five. Connor Hellebuyck of the United States led goaltenders in save percentage at .956.
