Dončić and LeBron
The Lakers were commanding the game from the first second. In the first quarter, they went on with a massive 17-point lead. The second and third quarters were also in their favor, extending the lead to 20 points. Once again, Luka Dončić shone, scoring a massive 43 points and seven assists. Austin Reaves scored 25 points and eight assists, while the star power show from LeBron included 23 points and nine assists. This was something typical of Los Angeles fans missed in the previous game.
Pacers’s ressistance
The Indiana Pacers were not that bad, as they just fell short by seven points. The massive deficit of the first quarter haunted them throughout the game. From the starting lineup, the points did not come as often as required. Only Pascal Siakam was able to reach the mark of 20 points with a single assist. Andrew Nembhard was exceptional, creating 19 assists and scoring 14 points for the Pacers. They had a massive last quarter with 45 points, but the deficit remained seven until the final whistle. The biggest negative for them was failing to stop the Lakers consistently. Throughout the game, the Pacers never got the lead on the visitors, while the biggest deficit was 29 points.
The conclusion was that the Lakers got the momentum win that was required before going toward home games, and also a good end to their away games chapter. The next fixture will be a home game for LeBron’s side, hosting the Brooklyn Nets.
