The New York Knicks moved closer after winning two straight games in the NBA finals. The San Antonio Spurs are facing a tough phase; despite leading in both games, they failed to secure a win. The NBA Finals are now entering a decisive phase, and the Knicks have an upper hand to secure the NBA title.

The Knicks got their first win:

Thursday, 4th June, we had the first game between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs got a decent start, where they scored 55 points until halftime. A straight lead of seven points for them. The Knicks got a strong comeback in the second half with 57 points, where they won it by a 17-point lead. The game ended with a scorecard of 105-95, with the Knicks winning by 10 points.

Jalen Brunson was the best player of the game; he contributed 30 points and two assists. From the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama made 26 points and contributed two assists.

The Knicks are one step closer:

Friday, 5th June, we had the second game between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs needed a win, and at the start, it felt like they would make it. But a weak second quarter cost them the game. The Spurs held a lead of 12 points during the first half, which was reduced to four points trail at the end of halftime. In the last quarter, the home side tried everything to grab a win, but they fell short by just one point. The game ended with a scorecard of 105-104, a win for the Knicks.

From the Spurs, we got once again a star performance from Victor Wembanyama. He contributed 29 points and two assists, while this time De’Aaron Fox was in form with 20 points and five assists. But it was overshadowed by a bunch of good performances from the Knicks. Karl-Anthony, Mikal Bridges, and Jalen Brunson combined for 61 points.

A thrilling clash ended with a second win for the Knicks. The next two games are now more important for the Spurs. Now they cannot afford any fumble. Otherwise, it will be clear who the NBA champion will be.
