On Sunday, June 21st, 2026, the Chicago Hounds defeated the California Legion 35-17 in the 2026 MLR Final to complete the perfect season and win the eighth championship in Major League Rugby history. It was the first championship for the Hounds franchise, as Hounds forward Lucas Rumball won the MLR Final MVP Award. The match was held at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois.

Hounds forward Theo Fourie scored the most tries during the season with nine, while Legion back Coby Miln had the most total points on the season with 105.

Out of playoffs: New England Free Jacks (3-7), Anthem Rugby Carolina (2-8)

Out in first round: Seattle Seawolves (L 43-34 to Legion), Old Glory DC (L 59-22 to Hounds)
